GreenguardFleetwood is committed to being an environmentally responsible company. We believe that starts with the materials we purchase, includes the manufacturing processes we employ, and results in products which are environmentally friendly.

Quality of Materials – Materials used in educational furniture vary widely in their make up and quality. Fleetwood seeks to use only the best materials appropriate for each application. From the laminate wood panels to our epoxy tops to the edgeband and the adhesives that bond it to the wood, Fleetwood uses materials often avoided by our competitors due to cost. As a result our products cost a little more but will last much longer.

Manufacturing Processes – We have an active “Green Team” made up of Team Member Owners from all disciplines within Fleetwood. This team works hard to lead our internal efforts to assure everything we do within our operations results in as small an “environmental footprint” as possible.

Finished Products – The majority of our furniture products have been GreenGuard® Indoor Quality and Children & Schools Certified. The only exceptions are our products made of natural wood, and GreenGuard® does not certify natural products. You can buy Fleetwood Furniture with confidence that their use will meet today’s indoor air quality standards, and also qualify your project for Leed points.
