Our goal is to minimize our carbon footprint, this starts with the development of products and continues through to reducing waste during manufacturing and shipping. We prioritize recycling as much as possible with our office and manufacturing materials.
We take pride in sourcing sustainable raw materials. Our particle board is made from 100% recycled or recovered wood fiber and complies with California’s 93120 Phase 2 standards. All Fleetwood products exceed CARB 2 standards for formaldehyde emissions in particle board. Additionally, most of our products ship blanket-wrapped to minimize packaging waste. All Fleetwood furniture products comply with California’s Proposition 65 regulations for formaldehyde emissions. Our ongoing GreenGuard certification testing confirms that our products emit less than 25% of the “safe harbor” levels for formaldehyde.
We are committed to offering environmentally responsible products. Our products contain no PFAS and are GreenGuard Gold Certified, ensuring they meet strict indoor air quality standards. We also use powder coat paint, which in addition to being more durable and attractive, is highly protective of the environment. It contains no solvents, emitting negligible or no harmful VOCs into the atmosphere. Our clean process allows us to return exhaust air from the coating booth back into our facility, reducing the need for external air exhaust.
Our laminate leads the industry in post-consumer recycled content and has received industry recognition for it's sustainability. The steel used in our products is on track to reduce carbon emissions by 25% by 2030, with a goal to become net-zero by 2050. On average, 70% of the steel we use has been recycled.
Our products are also designed for exceptional durability to last a lifetime, helping to reduce long-term waste.
